LAVH: 5 days till castle and a 2 week post op trip?

I have been blessed! The binders are back in stock!

My doctor does not use them at the hospital, and I have not been able to find one locally. This is the one thing that I KNOW that I want for recovery. After I had my gallbladder out back in November I walked around holding my stomach because it needed that extra support. I know this total hyst will be even worse.

I have placed my order and hopefully it will get here quickly, as my date at the castle is this Tues., 10/15! (about the time they should ship) Maybe the first few days I will do OK until it gets here.

I am also going on a Homeschool Mom's Science Retreat 2 weeks post op and will need that binder with the ice-packs! I have wonderful friends that will drive and I will be able to go lay down at anytime if it is just too much.

Any suggestions about what I should take on my trip at 2 weeks post op. Or ideas about travel 2 weeks after a visit to the castle?

Abdominal binders are made of wide elastic that stretches around you. It applies gentle pressure and gives support to the lower abdomen where you had surgery. It works like an ACE bandage, when wrapped around an injured ankle. It gives extra support to the ankle while the gentle pressure helps keep swelling at bay.
