Ultimate Princess - Da Vinci is doing my Hyst!

I got my surgery date today. November 28, 2007.

My doctor is doing the surgery using the Da Vinci robotic system. I looked on google video and saw some clips from a surgery and WOW. Apparently there is very little bleeding, very small incisions, and the recovery time is more like 4 weeks instead of 8.

Anybody else going to get the Da Vinci robot? This is kind if exciting!

I had the davinci w/ my TLH. I highly recommend it! Recovery was not bad at all, 4 very tiny incisions.

Good luck!

Ultimate Princess - Da Vinci is doing my Hyst!

Hi! I am 6 days post op, just having done the davinci. I FEEL WONDERFUL. Tired, yes. A little sore if I overdo it....but other than that, I feel fantastic!

I have 4 tiny incisions, each about 1/2 inch long. Hard to believe everything came out those little tiny slits!! I have a tiny bit of light bruising around each of the incisions, but no pain around them at all.

I have been off the painkillers since day 4 post op and have only taken ibuprofen a few times a day and before bed since. I feel almost guilty about how good I feel. I did not expect it at all. I feel so lucky to have been able to have my surgery this way. I still get tired easily, but I feel a little better and a little stronger each day.

Good Luck!
Christine
