Vaginal discharge

I had my surgery on 09/07/2010. I am not feeling that great! I have very sore lower abdomen and have bright red bleeding for last 9 days. I saw my doctor twice and he thinks it is normal !! When it is not fresh blood I get some greenish yellowish dirty kind of discharge. Is it normal? And today I started getting some stinging pain in my back!! Does anyone having same kind of symptoms?

I would say the greenish/yellowish discharge is not good. And the bright red blood ususally indicates either dooing too much lifting, bending, activity overall too soon - or could mean something more serious.

I can't speak to the stinging back pain.

What was your surgery type?

I am still pretty sore in my abdomen after 5 weeks with my surgery.

my surgery was total hystrectomy- abdominal, uterus and cervix were removed.
I dont know i f I can see another doctor. I am being careful and taking lots of rest but this spotting and discharge does not seem to take rest!
Acc. to my doctor, i should give 1 more wk so i will comply but if i do not get better i will call him back.

I think the back is due to compensation from not using abdomen. Your back is going to hurt
