Bladder spasms after a sling
I had my vaginal hysterectomy on sept 27th. I also had a bladder sling. Today I think I had a bladder spasm. Is this a normal think after a sling?

Re: Bladder spasms after a sling
I am 10 weeks and still having them, its awful.
Both my Drs have told me separatedly that the bladder will calm down, just takes time.
I also have problems starting to go, and of course pain when I am almost done..
I have to avoid stimulant foods/drinks like caffeine, chocolate etc.
I also now make a point of going as soon as I get the urge, because if I don't I will have trouble starting.
I'm also dealing with groin pain....
All this they say will subside, I just pray its soon. I'm starting to wonder if it was worth it....
Hope it stops soon for both of us!

Re: Bladder spasms after a sling
I was having bladder issues for months!! I had a Burch done.. Come to find out my bladder is now tilted or something like that so I cant fully void any longer.. SO I can get UTI very easy, I have Microbid I keep around at all times and take them for a few days if I feel a UTI coming on.. also I avoid all acid foods and sweet and low, this may help you too.. I found those really bothered my bladder after surgery GOOD LUCK
