TVH scheduled...ready but nervous

Hello, new here and glad to have found this forum. TVH-Bso scheduled for October 21st. I am ready....ready to be done with the never ending periods, ready to be done with the prolapse pain and back pain, ready to not pee myself every time I move!
I am 36 with 4 kids, all of whom I had pre term labor with, long bed rests, and pre term births. My gyn says this is the reason for my uterine prolapse due to the extreme stress from months of contractions.

I am not necessarily nervous of the surgery itself, but of how in the heck we will manage the recovery. Hubby says he has it under control but we all know those definitions are very different!

As I was cleaning up pieces of popcorn from movie night (courtesy of a certain 4 yr old who spilled his popcorn and water ) I am thinking I won't be able to bend like this come next week!
Will hubby keep up with laundry, vacuuming, dishes, cooking, everything?!

yes, I have actually thought maybe I should cancel it so I don't have an anxiety attack and die from the mess I know will ensue.

Re: TVH scheduled...ready but nervous

Mplusfour,
I too was very concerned about hubby keeping things in "order" while I'm recovering. My TVH/anterior repair/ bladder sling/vault suspension was Sept 16, and I have to say that hubby has really stepped it up and kept the house running! I haven't had to lift a finger!

Good luck to you and remember this is your time to hang up your superwoman cape and be treated like a princess for awhile!

I notice you are also having a BSO. Why are you having your ovaries removed ?
