adenomyosis and weight gain

I have gained so much weight in the past two years.. I have just been diagnosed with adenomyosis... I have about 1 good week a month and thats after the 7 - 9 day periods stop. I go on a diet and start getting more active and then a week later the cramps start again. The cramps and mood swings are so severe that I eat everything in sight... then the bleeding starts and I am so drained from that that I cant do much that week either. I know that the adenomyosis causes the uterus to be swollen, but I feel pregnant most of the time...

I am hoping that after recovery from my surgery on June 30th that I will be able to be more active.....

Has anyone else experienced this...????

I'm the same way. Yet now the pain has become a daily thing with me, no longer just during Aunt Flo's visits.

This makes exercise impossible, which leads me to get depressed, which leads me to binge on "comfort food". It's a neverending battle.

Like you, I am hoping that after a long and careful recovery I can get back to a regular exercise plan and shed this exess "fluffiness"

s to you

I know what u mean.....

I haven't been able to lose any of the weight that I had gained during my last pregnancy. I am 5'9 and a half. I weigh 175. I weighed 142 when I got pregnant. I am like that lady who has constant pain. I always hurt. My back hurts so bad I can't sit on anything hard. I hurt just sitting. I know that with 2 c-sections that it will be hard to get my belly even somewhat flat. Now I am looking a another surgery that is going to make it even harder. But it should be possible with diet and exercise. But now there is nohting I do to help. My bp yesterday was great, 100/70 pulse 78. Yet I am 30lbs over weight. It is hard to swallow that.

Thanx for the ears!!!!!!!!!!

adenomyosis & weight gain

This sounds just like me. I have ben debating for over a year now abut whether to have hysterectomy or endometrial ablation, & for right now, I have decided on the ablation.
I get my endo biopsy results in another week or so & then we are to discuss my decision. PArt of the reason I have decided on this is b/c my aunt is having to try to wean off estrogen b/c of the new studies & she is going crazy. I have decided to do this first & if it is no better, I'll have the hysterectomy later.
Any feedback is appreciated! I am terrified of both.
