appendix also?

I have pain on my right side. My ultrasound didnt show a problem on my right, but on my left. Would they see if it was my appendix that was a problem, and would they remove it?

That is definitely a question for your doctor. Please let him or her know about any pain you are having. It is very important information for them to have.

Hi, this sounds a lot like me. Ive been having tremendous pain on my lower right side with fever and nausea. They thought for sure it was my appendix but ultrasound showed it was ok. Small cyst on left ovary. I have a history of stage III endometriosis. On Dec 21, I will have a total hyterectomy and appendectomy. I was wondering if anyone else had their appendix out during their hysterectomy. Hoping to make it til the 21st and a little afraid of what they will find. Good luck to you!

If you have not signed a consent form allowing your doctor to remove your appendix, it will most likely will not be removed. My appendix was found to be inflamed with endometriosis during my first lap. However, there was no consent for an appendectomy, so my surgeon had to leave it. He told me at my follow up appointments that it had to come out during my next surgery!

Definitely talk to your doctor so you can see what you can set up in case there is an issue.
