Hosital stay for a tav?

am giong in on may 23 for a tav - have enlarged and tipped uterus - i have a large cyst on my right ovary which is causing more pain than anything? my doctor is pretty good but you all are much better - had a biopsy for the uterus last week and it felt like i was in labor - they should tell you to take advil or something before you go - darn - guess h e is getting me use to it - want to give some blood ahead of time - he said he didn't feel it was necessary - it is quite rare to have to use it - i am learning so much from you all and will find out much more i am sure - have 6 weeks to go - kind of iwsh it was next week so i can start feeling better and so on.

I hear ya! I have to wait until May 20 and have been waiting since Feb 13. I'm just looking forward to feeling better instead of looking at how long the wait has been. Hang in there..........it'll be over soon and we can recover together.

i meant tah sounds like we are the same - how long do they say you have to stay in the hospital?

I'll be in the hospital 3 days if there are no complications. If I'm feeling really good, they'll let me go home earlier, but that means I have to really be a good princess when I get home. I will have lots of help, so I'm sure everything will be fine.

I had a TAH last May. Went in on a Thursday and was discharged Sunday afternoon.

Most TAH stays are around three days, though it may vary, depending on your location, doctor, condition, complications, etc.

My surgery was 14 1/2 months ago. Surgery was on Tues, I went home Thurs.
