I am 5 wks and am still spotting, the first 2 weeks was like a period for me. I was worried and called the doctor and this is normal for the first 6 weeks. Trust me i was upset thinking no more periods and here i am still spotting.

Karen,

What type of hysterectomy did you have? If you stil have your cervix, you may still get mini periods. How much bleeding? Spotting is pretty normal at 2 weeks, but much more than that I'd be concerned. I would call your doctor anyway, just to be safe.

Hope it gets better..

hi....I had some bleeding also the first few weeks, but it does sound like that perhaps you are overdoing it a bit. As long as you are not bleeding heavily, there is probably nothing wrong in that area. It takes some time for your body to readjust.. try to rest more and try not to lift too often - it is still early in the game
of recovery. The walking part is probably good -just not to the point of overexertion.
