Problems after surgery

Hi ladies. I still fairly new here. Here's what's going on. I had a hysterectomy in September of 2004. I only had my uterus removed. The doctor didn't feel it neccessary to do a full hysterectomy. I am glad to still have my ovaries and cervix, but now I'm having problems and I wonder if there's anyone who can relate. My hysterctomy was decided on due to endometrioses which cause so much pain and such heavy cycle bleeding that it became a neccessity to operate. I'm relieved and feel really healthy now. Just recently however, I've started having pain and bleeding. Not a lot of bleeding. It still concerns me. The pain and tenderness seem to be centered around the side of the incision. The bleeding began after very uncomfortable intercourse. Is this normal? This hasn't happened to me before.

Problems after surgery

Hi Vessels,

I'm sorry you are having these problems after all this time.
I had my surgery in Sept too. If you have been doing well until now it seems something new has happened to cause this pain and bleeding. I have some discomfort after intercourse still, like cramping and a little soreness, but if I were to have bleeding I would call my dr right away because I haven't had it in so long.
I hope you will call just to be safe and let us know how you are doing.

Vessels,

Please do call your doctor. I don't know how much bleeding you are doing or if it's just irritation from vaginal dryness with intercourse. However, when your uterus has been removed and there is vaginal bleeding, you should consult your physician.

Take care and God bless!
