Incisions bleeding

I am exactly one week post op today and the incision in my belly button is bleeding a little bit under the glue. Is this normal? My doctor glued all of my incisions so I have no bandages or stitches.

Re: Incisions bleeding

My incisions oozed-reddish, but not blood. I had to keep them covered more than 2 weeks otherwise it stained my clothes. The oozing caused the glue to start coming off, but around a week, that is OK. If you are seeing blood though, you should probably call your doctor.

Re: Incisions bleeding

I'm having this same concern. I'm 1 week post op. the incision at the belly button is the most tender and painful. The dr today told me that I had blood pooling under the incision and for me to not to be alarmed if it oozes. He did, however, put me on antibiotics. He said to keep the area clean.

Gosh...I really wasn't expecting all of this.

Re: Incisions bleeding

I went to the dr today and she said all
of my incisions looked fine and that it was ok for them to bleed a little. I guess I'm just paranoid that they are going to open. I also stated spotting today and have not up until now. Praying everything is ok and healing is just taking place! It's so hard to not do anything especially with 3 young children.

Re: Incisions bleeding

I know what you mean, i have 2 little ones 2 1/2 and 5. Both busy boys. So trying to do little things, and walk, I pushed the little one in the stroller easy at POD 7, now might have to go back to that, pushing his trike with the handle is hard on me the next day.

keep resting and it is only short term
