SAH and Sex

So, I'd like to hear from women who've had supracervical abdominal surgery about your post-op sex life. Any issues I should be prepared for?

It seems to me that as long as I wait until my abdomen isn't all sore anymore, it should be fine. I still have my cervix, so there's no vaginal cuff to worry about tearing or anything like that. Am I right? Are there possible issues I'm just not considering?

I don't have a partner right now (I'm a widow), so who knows how long it will be before I even have the opportunity to have sex. Could be months. It's been almost 19 months already. But the first time I have sex with someone new is likely to be emotionally complicated anyway, and I'll probably be self conscious about my scar, and I really don't need to add worrying about it being painful on top of that.

I am happy to say that for me, it is exactly the same. No pain, no fuss, no muss and the same orgasm. I am self-conscious about my scar as it has gone hypertrophic (red and raised) but it is slowly looking better. At least I can live with what my tummy looks like now. I hope that your first time will be fantastic!
