Scheduled for August 9th and looking for relief

I'm scheduled for August 9th. My back hurts all the time..I feel 80 years old...I have fibroids, cysts and endometriosis. I'm hoping that this will be a cure all. I see every one is getting loose clorthing and buying things one size larger.....I am so bloated already? I can't imaging my stomach getting bigger? I'm hoping it go down? My digestive system is off to because of all this...I guess...I just know I'm bigger and bloated..looking for relief.

Re: Scheduled for August 9th and looking for relief

I bloated really bad before surgery. I did buy larger size night clothes and I wore my normal shorts during day. Jeans were uncomfortable because they put pressure on abdomin. For the first week, wearing a bra was even uncomfortable! Just make sure you have some loose fitting clothes to wear.

Good luck!

Re: Scheduled for August 9th and looking for relief

I really wondered how much I'd go down after the surgery...my doctor said my uterus was the size of a five-month pregnancy, or about as big as a basketball.

Now I'm three days post-op and I'm still close to the same size. It's like they took one basketball out and put in another! Ah, good old swelly belly. Anyway, I'm glad I had some high-waisted, drawstring pants to wear. And the swelly belly will go down, I've been assured.

The good news is, I can sleep comfortably on my back again for the first time in probably close to a year because I don't have the indigestion pain.
