15 days post hysterectomy: Hurts when I pee....

Good morning,
It's been 15 days since my surgery. Doctor left both my ovaries and everything was done vaginally with no incisions needed. I thought for sure I would be feeling much better by now. I had my children naturally and was doing much more than this. For God sake, I had 7lb babies pulled from me and I just had 6cm uterus removed. Math doesn't add up. Anyway, two days ago, I went to sit down on the potty and I can feel my bladder empty. I started to feel pain as soon as I was done and the bladder emptied. I felt the pain where my uterus use to be. I've been drinking plenty of water and I don't feel it is a UTI. It's just pain for seconds as I empty. I'm a little worried. Has this happen to anyone else???

Giving birth is very different from having an organ removed, regardless of the size.
I wouldn't dismiss a UTI or infection, you should get it checked.

Good call! Just got off the phone with Doctor and it's the beginning of a bladder infection. Waiting on meds to be filled. Thanks 🙂

After your babies were born, you weren't down an organ and up a 5" incision where said organ was.

As I read earlier today - you only have ONE chance to heal! Rest!

I'm glad you called the doc! Be gentle with yourself!
