Is 3 weeks post hysterectomy too soon to resume intimacy??

I will be 3 weeks post-op on Friday and had my follow up appt with dr yesterday. He was happy with how everything looked and cleared me to resume all activities as I feel up to them since I kept my cervix and ovaries. Anyone else who kept their cervix resume intimacy that soon?? I am not going to lie, I'm a bit nervous!!

Hi! I had LAVH and did not keep my cervix or tubes, but we eased back in at 3 weeks and there's been no looking back from there! My sweet husband was very worried at first, but now we've fallen back into our routine and if your doctor's cleared you, and you feel up to it then I say go for it!!! Good Luck!!!

I think it's a different time frame if you keep your cervix. You don't have the cuff sutures and the sutures you do have are protected by the cervix. But if you aren't ready, then give it more time.

Thanks for the reponse ladies! I am just nervous because while things feel ok "down there", my stomach is still not fully recovered. I think I may wait just a little bit longer.
