Count Down!!!

HI ALL,
I have visited a few times once we decided I was having a hysterectomy or I think I am supposed to say SAH-BSO- still learning the lingo. I joined the sisterhood officially today. I am sure the answer is yes but just wondering is everyone here that is pre-op on the count down? I am schduled for May 4th and it seems everything I think about now is around that date. I am a little nervous but overall happy that the time is almost here. Glad I found you all in time. Keep up the great work and support
oh and did I tell you I love the smilies...lol

Count Down!!!

I think we are all on a countdown of some sort. I love your butterfly! I went on light duty at work the first of February and my April hysterectomy seemed far off. Now my pre-op is Thursday with surgery next week (20) and I received an e-mail Checkpoint so I am really feeling the countdown. As you will see if you read others posts the wait is the hardest.

Your closer than I am....ill keep you in my prayers. I guess I am just glad that I can count it in days now instead of months. Good luck at your pre-op and keep me posted.

Count Down!!!

My date is April 28 and I'm also counting down. I got my list of pre-op items that I had to buy and I went to the drug store and got them today. My friend brought over a grabber and toilet seat extender that he used after his back surgery. I've also bought some over-sized nightshirts and shorts. I'm soo ready to get this done.

Hubby has also bought some paint and supplies so he can finally paint the bathroom since he'll have a few days off.

Hi all

Hi to all the soon to be princess.... YES the counting down takes forever and the nerves run very high. I had my hysterectomy Feb. 21st finally. Was scheduled the 25th of Jan but came down with a sinus infection and had to reschedule. To help pass the time is to do things for yourself like....get your hair done, get a manicure/pedicure, go out to lunch with your girlfriends. I know it is hard not to think about it but from experience.....the waiting is the worst part. I had a vaginal hyst. on friday afternoon and was home sunday by noon. I have had no problems what so ever. After the first week I felt better than when I went to the castle. I am finally pain free after 20 years and cant believe I waited this long to do this. But, Yes the waiting was the worst. I didnt sleep the two nights before, not knowing what to expect. Packing for the castle the two best things I took were... my portable cd player with headphones and relaxing cds. It was easier to rest with them on not hearing all the nurses in the halls and visitors to see other patients. I am wishing all the very very best and soon you will be very glad that you made this decission. Thinking of you all

Count Down!!!

I am one week away officially. I hate to admit it, but I am almost more nervous about getting my house clean enough for my dad to come visit.

Been a LONG road to this decision, just ready to not be anemic anymore.

How funny I was thinking about the clean house thing too. We thinking maybe ill be a maid before I go in just this once. To do the whole house really really good so it looks perfect when I come home. lol......Good luck to you that are going before me and just remember hopfully all your pain will soon be over.
