dVH/RALH 1 Year PO and Bleeding After Sex

I had a DvH nearly one year ago. Ovaries intact.

This morning we had regular normal sex and immediately after I had bleeding. He also had some on him. That was about 2 hours ago and I am still spotting. No pain or anything.

I called RN and she scheduled me for an appt VERY early tomorrow morning. I'd really prefer not to go if it isn't necessary. But I am also nervous as this has never happened before. RN seemed to have no clue whatsoever.

Has this happened to anyone else this far out? And if so, what was the cause/treatment?

My guess would be that you have some scar tissue. Going to the doctor is good idea, an infection there would not be fun.

Well I went in. He could only see a tear that had been bleeding. We have no idea why. It isn't like sex was rough or out of the ordinary by any means. He said it should be fine and to call if it happens again. Says he sees no reason to worry about cancer and that my vagina did not show signs of menopause. Said the cuff looks completely healed and in tact. This exam REALLY hurt though. He said I was reacting when he was poking at the tear - I almost flew off of the table.

I DO have scar tissue in my abdomen tho. I see a massage therapist who has been working on it and she also showed me how to work on it too. It hurts so much the next day - like I was beat up with a bat. But I also have some chronic pain issues since surgery. So who knows what is from what at this point.

So yea. A vaginal tear of some sort. Odd.
