I can't believe this is happening!!!

Hi Again Everyone,
I can't believe this is happening.....Last Thursday I felt like I was finally getting over the flu, or at least well on my way to getting near the end of it, when Wham..on Friday I got totally sick again...Fever, soar throat, more Coughing, swollen glands...the whole deal, all over again, and worse than the first go around. I immediately went to bed and stayed there all weekend, hoping with all hope that I would beat this reocurrance of the flu once and for all...well, no luck, I can see I will once again NOT be ready for surgery this Thursday. I am getting SO incredibley embarrassed at having to cancel yet another Surgery date. I know everyone in my family (out of state) must be thinking I am just whimping out over this surgery..ha ha..Well, I am beginning to think I'm crazy or something....I haven't been sick in over 6 mo. and now of all times I get the flu and then get Re-infected or whatever all within 2 weeks. Could I be subconsciously afraid or something??? This is really making me tired, I mean dealing with this stupid flu and also trying like heck to get well just so that I can get in and get my surgery over with....I really wanted to do some things before my surgery, you know some things I won't be able to do for a few months..like a trail ride or working on my projects outside...now I feel like once I get over this flu I will be going in for the surgery and then come out and bam I will have 4 more weeks of House arrest, Like I have now....I am beginning to think I should just put off the suregery until after the holidays and then go in. At least I would be able to have a decent Christmas and may be get to go for a trail ride before my surgery. The only thing I dread is having to go threw more of this pelvic pain....one more month of it seams like a life time. Sorry to rant, I'm just really disgusted at the hole situation. I'm really embarrassed about all of this, my life is normally not this complicated, and now I feel like it's almost like a soap opera what with all the posts I have written on all of my canceled Surgery Dates. I feel like my Visit to the Castle will never come....I'll always be a LIW Thanks for letting me vent....I really needed it!! Hope everyones surgery goes well this week....MY THOUGHTS ARE WITH YOU!!! Have a good day everyone.

I can't believe this is happening!!!

Hi, HorseNut! So you'll become a perpetual LIW?! No, I know you really do want to get your hyst over with and start feeling better. It may be that you are under more stress than usual, and your body isn't able to fight off these viruses and infections. I guess it's up to you and your dr to decide if you want to wait until after the holidays for surgery, though. Hope you feel better soon and can get your life back to normal. Hugs!

You poor kid! That would really suck. I'm so sorry you aren't feeling well *and* have to delay your hyst again. Doh!

I guess all you can do is rest, drink lots of fluids, sleep, rest some more... Take great care of yourself, and try to take away any stressors you can live without - just concentrate on getting better.

<<<Sending you get-well vibes>>>

Hang in there.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Wow you poor thing. I am sure that your family does not think you are trying to wimp out of this. What are the odds that you would get sick twice. Maybe they can re-schedule for next week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Try to remain calm . Remember surgery when you are sick is not an option. It is hard enough when you are feeling well.

Take care
