sex question..

ok here is an odd question...maybe Im alone on this bust here goes


I know you cant have sex after surgery...no problem...but say after 2 or 3 or 4 weeksafter surgery..you say just fool around or give oral sex....cause sometimes pleasing my husband can make me have an "O" does that mean you cant do that either.....Is that the same thing as having sex since muscles still contract..

I don't have an answer for you but am really interested in what everyone says....I don't plan on leaving me husband hanging forever and could maybe offer him some help after a few weeks... I will be waiting with you to see what others say

my husband and i enjoyed that..but i didnt ask my dr about it. i had an "o" before my two week clearance. its always best to ask your dr. i had an lsh and only had to wait two weeks.

I think you're smart to think of questions like this in advance. You'll go into your recovery knowing just what is and isn't allowed for you.

Doctors' orders regarding any sort of sexual activity post-op do vary, so this is a question you're going to need to ask your own doctor. My doctor's orders were the typical "nothing in the vagina" but also "complete pelvic rest". Some doctors are more lenient so it's important to ask your own exactly what you may and may not do. There's no need to feel embarrassed--this sort of question is asked of doctors all the time. Your doctor should be pleased that you are asking in advance and that you want to be careful not to do anything that could jeopardize your recovery.

Definitely a question for your doc...mine said pretty much the same thing as April Dawn's doc... I had to have "complete" pelvic rest & relaxation.... not looking forward to the 6 long weeks; however, as many other sisters have told me... I can only heal once, so it's best to do it right! Hope you get the answer you are looking for from your doc if not, I'm sure you'll make it through either way
