Wal Mart

I am 3 wks post op. I feel great other than getting a little tired easily and swelly belly. I went to church Sunday, which went well. I just came home and took a nap. When did anyone else try to tackle a quick trip to the store? My children need halloween costumes, and I normally start my Christmas shopping now.

re: Wal Mart

Hi lucy00 - considering how you are feeling, a brief visit to Wally's will probably be fine. For some of us, we get carried away, and decide either to shop too long, or run other errands when we are out, and overdo it. My SAH was 8/31, and yesterday had to go to my doctor to leave a specimen, and had to go to CVS for a prescription. That would have been enough (in hindsight) but decided "as long as I'm out, I'll just"... stop at the library, get a few things at the grocery store..." Last night I realized that all of that in and out of the car, and being out 8am-2:30pm was just too much. Keep your plan simple, stick to it, and have fun!

Wal-Mart

I agree with you. I had my LSH on the 31st and was feeling really great. I went grocery shopping and hair appt on Sat and I guess getting up and down was just too much. Just take it easy.

I agree with the other posts. Keep the trip short. I stayed out too long on Friday (lunch, haircut and visited Grandma at nursing home)and ended up miserable and in bed Friday after lunch I felt so bad. Take things slow. If I have to make three trips to town in a week at least I'm getting out a little bit.

Wal Mart

Wal-Mart is a BIG place, use the electric shopping cart and remember not to lift anything too heavy.
