Finally insurance went through!

Well I will be having surgery after all! Friday at 3:15pm my doc and I got the insurance doc that had never meet with me and said I did not need surgery....Night before the flood gates opened and the red river was all in my bed and I was passing masive blood clots all the next day and went through my clothes and all kinds of super plus tampons and pads but did not need surgery on monday! So I asked my docs office for this wonderful docs # so he could talk to me personaly seeing that he was making a major desion on my life my health so they gave it to me but his "scapgoat" would not put me threw to him so I flipped out ..here I was all set for a month knowing I was going to have this surgery mentaly got my mind ready for it had to get time off my parents took time off to help with my kids my dh took time off to help me every thing was packed for the kids for me I was all ready then on thursday at my pre op is when my doc told me her office had been fighting with the insurance comp and my case was pending... Then friday morning after trying to talk to a superviser or manager of insurance comp they would not talk to me so when they called me on friday at 9:00am and told me the insure doc denied my claim with out speaking to my doc or me and my docs office kept calling and he would never make himself avalible to her so then I called and all hell broke lose I FLIPPRD AND GAVE THEM AN EAR LOAD! tHEN THE DOC CALLED MY DOC AND HAD THE CLAIM TURNED AROUND AND I WILL BE GOING TO THE CASTLE AFTER ALL! DONT MESS WITH A HYSTER SISTER IN WAITING WHEN ON PMS!!!!!

Pamela-I'm very happy that your insurance is paying!!Good job standing up 2 them.I'm scheduled 2/4 for a lavh -i called and pre-auth and they told me they would pay only if it was medically necessary-what nerve!The doc said he would work on my behalf to make them pay.Let us know when your date is.you are in my thoughts...shelley

Hi Junebug! Wow good for you standing up for yourself like that! But just think all of this stress and getting to yell at someone had to have helped you ease some tension! LOL Best wishes on your surgery and recovery. The next time we chat we will both be a newly crowned princess!

My TAH is scheduled for 2/27/04 and my insurance wants to drag their feet about approving my surgery. I really feel like telling everyone there off ..... they aren't the ones who are in constant pain in their crotch and bleeding like a stuck pig thru their clothes all the time. It's so embarrassing to have to tie my husbands jacket around my waist when leaving a restaurant because I've soaked thru my diaper of a pad. ... it's all so frustrating.

scaredinnc, do not let them make the choice for you! you have a voice use it and use it loud!!! I did and I faught tooth and nail and that was after the insurance doc fax a 4pg letter on dening my claim!! tell them you have faith in your docs disiton and you have a right to talk to the male s.o.b. that wants to denie you the surgery after all YOUR suffering!!!! " I AM WOMAN HEAR ME ROAR!!!" I will pray for you ,I know what you are going through!!

hey, pamela--GOOD for you! Glad to hear your problem is resolved (well, the insurance problem, anyway!) Now off to the castle we go!
