Severe Pain 5 weeks post op

I had a hysterectomy 9/27/11. Was doing great no pain no problems nothing until yesterday. I went to use the restroom and began to have severe cramping and some bleeding. Went to see doctor and he said I tore some internal stitches on vaginal cuff. He gave me estrace cream to use internally and sent me home. About 2 hours later I was shivering with a 101 temp. I called doctors office and they called me in antibiotics and told me to come back in 2 days. Does this mean I have an infection? Im in the worst pain I've ever been in (besides childbirth) and am taking 800mg of motrin ever 5 hours to tolerate pain and keep temp down to 100. Anyone else have these problems?

I would have to say you have some sort of infection. If you dont feel better by morning or the pain/bleeding gets worse please do not hesitate to call your Dr. back or head to an E.R. Its always better to be safe then sorry. Good luck and take care.
