I have to do what!!??

I can except the golightly that I have to drink. I have drank nasty medicine type stuff before. I can deal with not eating for an entire day. I have done that before too. But um..why do I need to give my self an enama!? To put it nicely..I have not done that before. I once light heartly told my husband during our honeymoon days, "there's an invisible sign on my back that says 'do not enter'." ...I think you girls know what I mean. Please tell me that an enema is not as bad as I think it is going to be.

I have to do what!!??

I'm done taking all my cleansing meds and 5 hours later, I sit here with pain in my ribs. I would welcome an enima right now. It sounds horrid, but it's really not bad. Best thing about it, is instant results!!!! Well wishes to you.

I have to do what!!??

I drank alot of clear liquids. First time I had to do this, I tried to drink broth....yuck! That was so gross to me! This time around, I kept thinking about how gross that was, and it helped me to drink more liquids. I am lucky that I didn't have to do an enima. My parents cooked and ate all the food that I hate so I wasn't tempted. Good luck! You can do it!

I have to do what!!??

My husband is like this: The doctor says you need to do it...Let ME do it. He better get away from me. That's what happens when you marry a jokester I guess Sorry about your cramping IrelandO. I have to drink that stuff along with my enema. but the enema is not until 30 minutes before I leave Thursday morning. (6:00am) I have no idea how this is going to go...

Hi

I had a lsh on Jan14 and I too had to do a very intense bowel prep. I had to finish everything off with a warm water emena the morning of the surgery. I prepared my bathroom floor with towels the night before and the morning of surgery I went in put the thing up my butt and that was it. It really is not too bad. Just do it and know that this is the last road to your surgery. It helped me to think that way. Good luck and God Bless. Denise.

I have to do what!!??

Trust me on one thing, you definitely want your bowels and colon clean before this surgery. Two reasons, the first being you may be constipated for days and you don't want to have anything in there and second if by chance your bowel or colon get perforated during surgery you don't want dinner squishing out, it's very poisonous. I just did an enema and it really wasn't bad at all. I also am doing another in the morning. Like Denise said, just look at it as the road to recovery and the end of this journey. You're almost there! My surgery is tomorrow and I'm so excited! ( :
Good Luck to you!

I did not have to do any kind of bowel prep whatsoever. My doc said he did not require those. Thanks goodness. I was so relieved.
