2 weeks + and doing well--discharge ?

I had my LAVH (also took L ovary) on Feb 28. Saw my dr today for the first follow-up, and things seem to be going well. My intestines are working, no pain meds needed for 4-5 days, slowly getting back to normal activities. Incisions are healing well, still having some rusty-colored discharge. Anyone else have discharge at this point? I really am getting tired of wearing protection every.single. day. for soooooo long!
He cleared me to go back to work on April 4, and I can start gentle exercise next week (I am just DYING to get back to my Jazzercise class, but will have to be vveerrrryyy careful for awile). Can't use weights higher than 5 lb (I was using 8lb before my medical misadventures). Unfortunately--no dodgeball (I kinda figured he would say that)...I'm in a co-ed league, it was all my idea and then I had to bow out!
I am still having what feels like things...moving around...in my lower abdomen. Feels kinda like gas, but it isn't. Anyone else having that sensation? Is that just other body parts finding their new "space" now that the uterus is gone?

2 weeks + and doing well--discharge ?

Hi

Glad to hear things went well at the Dr. I know what you mean about being tired of wearing the pads. I had spotting/light bleeding start between my 2nd-3rd week and kept up with a blood-tinged discharge for a l-o-n-g time. I had some granulation though, so maybe yours won't last for months.

I had some weird pelvic feelings were like painless tiny muscle spasms, which I've heard are common after surgery. Maybe that's what you are feeling too?

Anyway, just wanted to send you a & hope the rest of your recovery goes smoothly. Take it easy~

Beth
