Re: Jumpy / jerky movements

Yes, all manner of involuntary leg movements for maybe 2 weeks after surgery, i used to wake myself up with a mega leg twitch. Everything has settled down now though.

Re: Jumpy / jerky movements

It happened to me as well, in the first week after both my surgeries. It was like I would doze off and feel like I was falling and suddenly my body would jerk or jump. Sometimes it happened when I was fully awake. I wonder if it is caused from the general anesthesia. Mine wasn't from pain meds because I didn't take any meds after either surgery because I had no pain.

Re: Jumpy / jerky movements

Another reason because we are having muscle
twitches is most likely caused from atrophy or weakness from non use of our muscles. The twitch response is usually from nerve endings misfiring their signals to the muscles. Our muscles aren't used to being unused for such a lengthy rest period required for recovery.

Re: Jumpy / jerky movements

It can also be caused by a lack of estrogen. Vitamin B complex or stress formula really helps
