Kathy
Thanks so much. I am rather new to the message board. I guess I discovered it in late May after my first Dr diagnoses..... I 'read' more than write, but I gotta tell you this is a wonderful forum and I'm very grateful to have this kind of information and support.
Great job, Kathy.

Kathy,
Thanks for updating the list. I thought it was just me and I didn't know what the abbreviations meant.
And Congratulations on this site. Thanks to it I went in for my TVH/LSO, bladder sling, a & p repair on June 5, 2001 very educated and confident. NOT anxious or nervous at all. Just like any old other day. Normally I would have been a nervous wreck. I kept telling my SO (Signifiant Other - maybe could add that to your list too?) something was wrong because I was so calm. Nope, nothing was wrong. Just knew I had lots of prayers and well wishes from my other sisters here.
THANKS A MILLION!!!

Yes, dear friends, Kathy sure has created a wonderful place for us to meet on the internet. My surgery was 6 months ago and I don't know what I would have done without this site.
Kathy is an , the Hyster Sisters gardian
Those smilies sure are fun to use. If you want even more fun, check out the Hyster Sisters Mall where you can actually subscribe to the website. Not only does it help keep the website free, it also give you even more fun.
Wishing you the best of luck.

Monnie, you will be having a TVH: Total Vaginal Hysterectomy. It's a Total because the cervix, which is part of the uterus, is being removed.
If you were having the ovaries removed, it would be a TVH/BSO.
