Spotting since surgery for cuff granulation

I just found out this past May 30th that I apparently had a lot of endometriosis. I was having surgery because of granulation tissue left over from my hysterectomy back in November and a complex cyst on my left ovary.

It has been 12 days since my surgery and I am just now starting to spot and it is a bright red. My doctor is just blowing me off and telling me that I am not bleeding enough to worry about it even though it hurts like hell. Does this sound right?

Thanks

Re: Spotting since surgery for cuff granulation

The bleeding and pain are probably part of your cuff healing. As long as you don't have bright red bleeding that fills a pad an hour, it is likely fine which is why your doctor is not concerned.

If you are still concerned and/or the pain is not tolerable, schedule an appointment to go in and see your doctor to talk and possibly for an exam.

If you have questions about your endometriosis diagnosis, be sure to start a thread in the Endometriosis Support forum and we will do our best to answer based on our own experiences and research.

Re: Spotting since surgery for cuff granulation

after my hysterectomy, i had a spot on the cuff that just would not heal...i think, if i remember correct, the gyn even did silver nitrate treatment on it and it still didnt work

so, she took me back to surgery and fixed and ive never had any bleeding problems since

i think it can be fixed in the office however when i get exams i have extreme anxiety and my doc knew there would be no way i could handle the procedure in the office...altho my anxiety around exams is now much better since i had the hysterectomy and cuff fixed.
