I'm worried about the first BM

I realize that this is a difficult subject...but prior to being diagnosed with these awful masses in my uterus, i wasn't able to make a BM for weeks at a time. My DR asked me to change my eating habit, tried different OTC stuff (Metamucil 3x a day), nothing seem to work. Finally, she gave me a prescription for Miralax (2x a day)...it truely works...you're able to drink it w/any kind of fluid.

If you are having problem w/BM's please ask your DR about this prescription..keep in mind, if nothing else works, ask your DR about "Miralax".

At my pre-op they told me to try not to eat too heavy for 2-3 days prior to my surgery, and to take citricel for the same time period to prevent having to strain. I tend to be pretty constipated to begin with, so I hope this helps. She also stressed, and I mean stressed that I drink lots and lots of water on the last two days prior. So that's what I'm trying to do. I don't want to have any problems with the BM or But do check with your doctor because today at the pharmacy the pharmacist told me not to take anything at all that my doctor didn't specifically tell me to.
