I am getting crabby!

I had a LAVH on Sept 8th. My pain is much better but I am very tired. I also started getting crabby today. I don't know if it's hormones or what. I just want to feel better!

I am getting crabby!

I am sorry your are crabby.
It is common to feel moody when you are not completely healed and not feeling well. This was major surgery and your body needs to adjust to what was done to it. Healing can take months to feel good, have energy and do the things you are wanting to do that you are accustomed to.

Hang in there

I am getting crabby!

Mood swings are fairly common at this point in your recovery. I remember being very crabby and emotional during the initial months post op. I and my family survived. Though it wasn't without some shocking moments. I'll never forget the look on my mil and fil's faces when I went ballistic. I'm usually very quiet and they were quite shocked when I had what I like to call a very hormonal moment when they were visiting. in there. Things can get better.

I am getting crabby!

I haven't really been crabby, more emotional for some reason, crying at commercials and movies I've seen a hundred times before and nothing. Now it's like a dam has been knocked down. I was on anti-depressants in my teen years and have been off of them now for about 4 years. While they helped, I found that not only was I not depressed, but that I couldn't feel happy while I was on them either. I was numb to everything. The final straw was when I couldn't cry when my first child was born. I have been off of them for 5 years now and refuse to go back on them. I'm hoping this will pass soon. I'm chalking it up to out of whack hormone levels that i'm hoping will correct themselves soon. Hang in there. I'll hang with ya!

You don't say what you've had done or if you're on hrt. I was NASTY after my op I was having a hard time even dealing with myself! I was then put on estro and progest. i am 100% nicer than i was even before the op! may want to check into hrt if you're not on anything.
