have i just overdone it or should i be worried

I am a little concerned. I spent three days before Christmas on my feet (one day was about 18 hours long) cleaning, cooking and preparing to entertain 20+ people on Christmas day. Christmas day started early that morning and the last of the company left about 10:30pm, then it was time for clean up again. During this time I felt tired but nothing much different than before surgery. The next day I was soooo tired I did NOTHING all day.

It's been a week now and I'm still feeling bruised inside, my back hurts and have no energy. A couple of times I've had a sharp, but not bad pain here or there. It's like I've gone back to week 2/3 of recovery. I just can't seem to get myself going.

I had a TVH, bladder sling, a&p repairs on Oct 21st.

Have I just overdone it or should I be concerend? I have taken it easy on and off for several days (in between those days, I've rearranged furniture, got a twin bed out of the attic and set up, crazy stuff like that).

Shouldn't I be back to my "pre-christmas self" by now?

Wow!!Its been over 2 months for you!!! Does it still hurt after that long? I was a little over 2 weeks at Christmas and I did the cook/clean thing as well. I was a little tired but nothing major. I guess I may be overdoing it too!!!! Hope you feel better soon.

Hi MemawB
I think this sounds like a lot of heavy lifting for 10 weeks. You had a lot of repairs done. I tried to rearrange furniture at 14 weeks and hurt for at least a week. You need to remember that you are recovering from your recovery as well. What I mean is you have been going easy, not using muscles like you do normally. You still have healing going on and will for several months to come. You need to listen to your body and stop some of this heavy stuff until you can do it without pain.
Chances are you haven't done permanent damage, but since you are continuing to hurt after a week I think it would be wise to call and let your dr what is happening just to be sure. I hope you will feel better soon.
