13 days post op and doing well

Hi all,

Well I am 13 days post op. I had my tah lso on the 12th. Overall everything went great. After surgery I moved myself onto my bed in my room and was walking the same day. I was released on Valentines day and feeling better than before surgery. unfortunately, Friday the 23rd, I was at my comp and a sneeze hit me with extreme force and instead of letting it go I held it in. BIG MISTAKE! I spent 7 hours in the hospital yesterday, and was told that i most likely tore an adhesion or strained the abdominal incision. They sent me home with percoset, which, unfortunately...made me really sick and now i'm in even more pain. However, it is still less than before the op. I am happy to say that I have a wonderful Doctor, and surgery went very well. I hope everyone is doing well and have good support systems.

hi sister...sorry for your misfortune , but you'll continue to recover...just take it easy, get the rest your body needs, and no more holding in a sneeze please! Use a pillow on your tummy to lessen the jarring effects. Laughter is the best medecine, (it was for me) and don't forget your pillow. All the best to you, Princess.

Thank you, I learned my lesson. Let it out! I dont go anywhere without my pillow now. I would laugh, but it hurts to much, however i have found that smiling helps lots. thanks again,
