I still have pain on my left side where my ovary used to be?

I am nine days post op, still feeling pain and pressure. My bladder and bowels are still not back to normal. I have this burning sensation where my ovaries used to be. Is this normal? My doctor was surprised when he saw me four days post op, he thought I should have been bouncing around by then. Seriously??

Re: I still have pain on my left side where my ovary used to be?

9 days is still awfully early in this journey. I was feeling better, but I wasn't bouncing back by any means. Your insides are probably still saying "what happened?!" Keep your doc informed, but don't put pressure on yourself to heal any faster (not that you can) - 'cause your body is doing its best. And I didn't have a pee or BM that felt near normal until week 3-4. I was "going" regularly, but it hurt first 10-12 days, then gradually just became uncomfortable. By week 4 all was pretty good, and almost normal. Take heart - it DOES get better. Unfortunately we are at the mercy of TIME.

Thanks so very much! My doctor expects me back at work this Friday. I don't think I'm ready. I spoke to his nurse and they both seem quite suprised. Am I just being a whimp?

Never heard of such a quick return to work. I assume desk job?
I had LSH and have booked off 4 weeks. As my job is very active I may be off 5-6.
