Still cannot empty bladder!

I had my surgery April 27. I had many fibroids and one the size of a baseball grew through my uterus and pushed both overies and uterus to one side. My surgery lasted close to 5 hours and the dr made a 2 inch adomonial incesion to remove the last stuburn Fibroid. I stayed at the castle overnight. I have had bm and feeling overall pretty good taking only moltrin.
I left the hospital with a cath in since I was not able to pee on my own. I had it removed Monday. I was able to pee at that time but unable to empty my bladder and went to ER to have another cath put in. I am currently waiting on a call from my dr.
Will my bladder wake up?

Re: Still cannot empty bladder!

Your bladder will wake up! My doctor left my cath in ten days because he said too many people had trouble if it came out sooner. I told him I wasnt too fond of my yellow spring purse! But I worked just fine when the day came. Hang in there!

Re: Still cannot empty bladder!

Thank you. Dr just called me and wants to leave it in for a week. He did remind me that major tramma occured inside me. *Yellow spring purse* is funny.
I kinda like sleeping throughout the whole night without getting up to pee! I will like it better though when I can pee on my own!
