Vaginal exam 2 weeks post OP

I had routine follow up visit today. Shocked that the Dr did a vag exam. I even reminded her I was two weeks post OP. I am fine no pain no complications. Has anyone else been examined two weeks post OP? I had a TAH including vag cuff.

I had one at 2-1/2 weeks. Was nervous but it didn't hurt at all. I was pleasantly surprised. I also have the cuff. I am almost 8 weeks out and have my next appointment to check progress of the cuff next week.

I had mine at 3 weeks and no more follow ups scheduled....all is well

My doctor wouldn't do a vaginal exam at two weeks. She said she didn't want to take a chance and create problems when I'm not having any. She will do an exam at the six week mark though.

When I had my 2 week post op a week ago, I had a vaginal exam as well. Exam did not hurt but after that I begin to have a discharge that had a little bit of an odor. He stated that everything looked like it was healing great.

I will say that them "ripping" out my JP drain hurt worse than my vaginal exam and taking that out didn't hurt just stung.

My 2 week post op is on Tuesday, my doc said he won't be doing a bag exam at two weeks but does do them at the 6 week follow up.
I think it depends on your doc.

Went for my 2 week follow up and did not have exam. my doctor said and I quote "nothing in the vagina for 6-8 weeks including me" she said as long as there were no problems she doesn't do exams until at least 6 weeks
