Helpful hint for Husbands

Hello Ladies. I had my surg. Aug. 25. I had LAVH. I believe I am fully recovered and feeling fine. The first 3 weeks were very hard and painful, and the 4th week was not that great either. About the 6th week I felt totally recovered. I was reading some posts from recent sisters who are recovering and just wanted to give you a helpful hint. If you could have a friend or relative remind your husband on a regular basis to help you around the house and have compassion, have them call him or talk to him. My husband was never really compassionate for the 3 years I was bleeding constantly and in pain from fibroids. When I had the surgery, his 2 sisters and his boss' wife had several 'talks' with him, and it helped a lot!!! I didn't ask them to do it, but his sisters know him and did it on their own. Good luck with everyone's recovery and don't worry if you have to take pain pills and lay down a lot for awhile. Also, want to add, I am a SAHM, so I am not out in the working world, and that could be why I could/can rest more than some others.
