Upcoming hysterectomy 6/17

Salutations,
Hello I am due for surgery on Fri. 17th,2016.I am a ball of nerves,not only am I getting a hysterectomy I am also having my gallbladder removed.

Hi Jamaicanpices -- Just wanted to wish you all the best and say, you are not alone! I'm also having surgery on the 17th. Also very nervous -- just scheduled to have uterus and cervix removed, but they may have to take ovaries as well depending on what they find. All of the unknowns are driving me a little nuts! I can imagine it must be nerve-racking to be having your gallbladder removed too. I will be thinking of you and sending good vibes your way!

Hi Jamaicanpisces to HysterSisters!

All of your fears, feelings, anxiety and nerves are very normal. This is one tough surgery to face and digest. Throw in removal of gallbladder and it is definite and !

Keep yourself very busy - that can help distract you from the upcoming surgery. Also watch favorite DVDs or read a favorite book. You should also treat yourself to something special that does not violate doctor's orders. Maybe an or or an outing with friends

Just know that you are not alone in any of this. We are here for you.
