Rash mid-cycle? Rash mid-cycle?

Rash mid-cycle?

I've looked and looked, but can't come up with any answers, so I thought I would ask if anybody else has this issue. At the midpoint of every cycle, I get a hives like rash on my upper left arm and upper left thigh. I can tell if my period is coming late or on time by this rash. It only lasts a few days, so its always been gone by the time I head in to see the dr.

I'm scheduled for my LAVH on July 19 and hope to keep my ovaries. I'm wondering if the rash is related to anything and if it is will I still get it if I keep my ovaries. I know nobody can know for sure, but I'm wondering if anybody else has dealt with this.

This is getting very annoying as the time between periods seems to get shorter and shorter.

Re: Rash mid-cycle?

I'd bring that up with yor doctor. It may be a hormone issue, which if it is, it will most likely stay. How bad is the rash? Is it something you could continue to live with if they determine it's hormone related?

Re: Rash mid-cycle?

I'm no doctor, but I do know that we tell our 5th grade girls (I am a teacher) during human growth and development that one of the signs that they may be close to having their first period is they may develop bumps/ hives on their upper arms.

I don't know why (they give us a script to read) but my guess it is something hormonal. Might want a blood test (have it done when the hives are present) to compare hormone levels when they are not present to see.

(I've been battling hives for about 4 weeks now... all over ) NO fun!

I'd be interested to see what you find out. Good Luck!
