LAVH when is outercourse safe

I am a week and 3 days post op and my libido seems to have really gone up. I did keep my ovaries. Would it be safe to have outercourse this soon post op?

Outercourse is safe only when your doctor says it's safe. No one here can tell you the answer for you, only what their doctor's have told them. You should call your doctor and specifically ask. Don't be shy, they've heard it before. Some doctors say outercourse is safe at 2 weeks or less (mine did), but others insist on full pelvic rest for 6 -8 weeks. Doing it too soon could cause blood to rush to healing tissues and muscle contractions that can cause harm in some situations. I hope you don't have to wait long.

I would call your dr first. I was embarrassed to ask but I did anyway at a little over 3 weeks. Mine said it was fine just nothing inserted for 6 weeks. Last night was it for me. I was so afraid something was going to happen, but it felt good and no spotting or hurting afterwards. I am now at 4 weeks and feeling great.

I asked my doc at 11days post op and she said not to. Because if the muscles that used to pull on the cervix and uterus contract and pull from orgasming, it can do harm. So yeah, each situation is different and I'd certainly ask your personal doc. don't be shy

I had my LAVH on 1/27. I was advised by my GYN to wait 6 weeks for both inter and outercourse.

I agree you should ask your doctor. They've heard it all before and it could be a case by case decision. My dr told me masturbation ok at 2 weeks jut nothing inside vagina.

my fiance and i have done the outercourse and the first time i had no pain. but i guess what u call the lack of and build up was more painful for me then the release. the only thing that i found was different from before is i didnt seem to get as wet as before. im so hoping that when the doc releases me that actual intercourse i can have the full affect. my fiance says it doesnt matter but to me it does.
