I am 10 days post op and most comfortable in nightgown or long nightshirt with xtra loose high waist undies. I had a vertical incision SAH and need something up over my belly button.
Tried to put on my sweatpants the other day and found too confining (even though they are a bit large normally) They compressed my tummy too much and made me uncomfortable.

So back into my nighties..I will say that I have been (until the other day) using a maxi pad to cover area of my incision ) because it was having a slight discharge-although that is normal.
It felt better to have the pad because it didnt stick to my staples as much as my undies did.
Now that my staples are out the discharge has disappeared also.

One item I had forgotten from home was something for chapped lips. My lips were so sore and dry after surgery so my DH had to go buy some at gift shop.

I went shopping today and found some soft cotton jammies that I liked for less than half price...but the best thing is that they were mismatched, and the pants were a size larger than the top! This website is great. DH got me some wonderful sheepskin slippers for Xmas, but the pull-on ankle boot style. I just ordered a pair of slip-on UGGs and got lucky cos most are sold out til spring.

The things I can't find up here are a wedge pillow (I love to read in bed) and a Grabber tool. Maybe I will ask my mom to shop for me at a Target down south and ship the stuff up here.
