when will i find out about preop?

I have my presurgical tests Tuesdaat the 3rd. Is this when they tell you about bowel preps? I go in on the 5th. I am a nervous wreck. I don't know whether to call my dr. on Monday and ask or if they tell me on the presurgical tests.

I had my pre surgical tests last week. The nurse explained all the procedures and asked if i had any questions so i don't think you should worry - they should be able to fill you in. I had a blood test, blood pressure taken, height and weight taken and filled in a health questionaire and it didn't take very long. I felt awful walking into the hospital to have the tests but practically skipped out, it wasn't daunting in the least. Good luck.

I had my TAH/BSO on Sept. 4th, 2002. I remember asking about "all that" at my pre-op visit and having my Dr. say that she didn't think there was any reason to have an enema at all!! Happy, happy day!! My whole experience was really, really good. They were able to use the results of the blood work I'd had done in May that I had as part of my regular annual check up so I didn't even need to do that! They don't seem to do them for TAH in the UK. I reckon that they think if they starve us for long enough beforehand there's nothing left to come out the other end!!!!!!
