Waiting For A Call Back From My Nurse

Oh, how I could just cry my eyes out right now.

I posted last week concerning this lower back ache pain I started having last Monday, which also just happened to be the day I began bleeding heavily.

It lasted all week and being the strong woman I am , I tolerated it as long as I could with what medication I had on hand, 800mg of Motrin, as well as 500 mg. of Tylenol.

On Friday, I finally gave in, after much advice from my wonderful co-workers and called my doctors office and spoke with his nurse.

She asked me a ton of questions and called in a prescription for Darvocet. Okay, I took it once I arrived at home from work, but it didn't help.

Today is Wednesday and I am still in pain.

I called back this morning, as I had promised her I would do if the medicine didn't help (but, I was supposed to have called on Monday) Anyway, I am so afraid if he tells me to come in that he may find something and wouldn't you know it, DH is out of town so it's my son (10 years old) and myself right now. My doctors office is 2 hours away, too!

I could cry .... I have the jitters ... awaiting her call!

Waiting For A Call Back From My Nurse

Dear (((Tina))) I hope by now the nurse has called back. I am sorry it is such a long drive and as chance would have it you are alone with your young son which will make it more difficult if you need to go in for a checkup. Perhaps your doctor may try another pain pill; some pain killer work better for some people but not others. Since I have a chronic pain condition, I have learned the hard way that pain meds work best when one continues to take them at the set intervals. Once you get a pain killer that helps, please don't skip a dose because you are feeling better since your body needs so much medicine continually in it to fight the pain. Please let us know how you are doing.

Waiting For A Call Back From My Nurse

Well, I am sitting here, at work and still have not heard anything from my doctors office.

I'm sure she wanted to speak with him before she called me back, as he knows first hand what is going on.

He did, however, let me set the surgery date for when it was convenient for me, so I chose June, when my little guy will be out of school.

He was concerned at our last meeting when we actually set up the date/time for my TAH/RSO that my cervix might be attached to the bowel in some way, due to the amount of Endometriosis I have in there.

I am wondering if maybe it has indeed grabbed ahold of the bowel and is reaking havick(sp) on my spinal cord or something .... and all this waiting is driving me insane!

You can imagine the thoughts that are racing through my head right now :confuse:

Thank you for taking the time to respond to my post .... It means more than words can say!

I think maybe I'll run away and go to anyone wanna go with me???

I hate waiting for the DR's to call back.. takes forever!! I hope they can do something for you... Are you sure you should have waited so long for the surgery? I wanted to wait until my son was out of school too, but my doctor called and rescheduled it because of the problem I'm having, he wanted to do it sooner, but he only scheduled it 2 weeks sooner.. I don't know how much 2 weeks difference makes.. but I figure, he's the DR,

Anyhoo.. I hope they get back to you soon

I feel your pain Southern Grace. I hurt to.

Working at a desk all day does not help. Sitting/bending at the waist HURTS. I just want to stay home laying flat with my heating pad. My castle day is next week, May 5th. I know I can make till then but I don't like how it is feeling right now. My frowning face is making too many extra wrinkles. I want my MOMMY.

Waiting For A Call Back From My Nurse

Hello, it's me again, the WHINER!

I just rec'd a call back from my doctors .

I am going to see him tomorrow afternoon at 2:30. He seems to think it is either a bladder infection or a kidney infection, but of course, will check me and determine the real cause of all of this pain.

What if I get there and it is something more serious than an infection and he wants to do surgery right away?

I have a list one foot long of things for me to do BEFORE I have surgery in June. I must, must, must get them done, you know!

Waaaaaaaaaaaa ... I want my Mommy, too Dimples!

Shelle, I have never been to California, so I'd be willing to travel ...

Katiebelle ~ I think I may end up changing my surgery date, because I cannot tolerate this pain much longer, period.

PeggieSue ~ I am not afraid of taking any meds, so I am careful about taking what is prescribed and when to take it, as well. My DH thinks I am over exaggerating this, which adds to my frustration. MEN. Especially my DH right now. *punch*

Well, if you get yourself all worked up that gonna make it worse... maybe it will be a good thing to move it up a little. I know it's hard to get prepared and everything, but everything will be okay

Good Luck and let us know what happens tomorrow
