New to site. 8 days Post Hysterectomy... Prolapse?

Hello ladies, i am 8 days out from having a full vaginal due to uterine cancer. I am worried i have a prolapse. Way overdid things getting ready for Christmas. It feels as if i have a tampon falling out and there is a hard bulge at opening of vagina. Im really concerned. Could this be swelling or more serious?

Since you had a vaginal hysterectomy it is most likely swelling especially with over activity. Try using a wet/frozen sanitary pad as an ice pack and keep off your feet as much as possible. You are very early in your recovery and should be simply walking a bit and resting. You should not be bending, twisting or lifting and certainly not housework especially vacuuming.

Give your doctor a call if you are concerned you did any damage.

Thank you for the reassurance. My dr is on vaca and i do not know anybody who has had a hyster before. Great site for comfort!
