Dizzy-Naseau-feel crappy!! Plus unattractive!!
5 weeks post op and I just don't feel good!
All of the sudden last week I started feeling sick to my stomach in the afternoons, just sort of pukey, and dizzy and sort of strange, like I just wasn't myself.
I told my husband I felt like I didn't belong in my own skin!!
Now today I have been sick to my stomach all morning I am light headed, and just feel weird - anyone else have this???
I cant quite figure it out, but I feel strange!!
Besides that I just don't feel good about myself, I don't feel attractive at all, I look at my stomach and get grossed out, I feel fat and ugly.
I lost 13 lbs. with the surgery, but have found all but about 3 of them!! And even w/ the 3 lbs. loss i feel fatter, it is like things have rearranged themselves and my body is completely different. I am walking when I can, between 4 nights of baseball a week w/ the kids, plus the stinkin snow that we are getting burried in again!!
Maybe I am just having some post surgery depression???
Does that happen???
Any ideas on any of this would be greatly appreciated!!!

Feel yucky too
I can sympathize with you totally. I could not look at my incision for a long long time. I just felt so gross and I find that I often put my hand over my stomach during intimate times.
I've gained 30 pounds and have given up on my doctors to help me with this.
Your body goes through so many changes as a result of the surgery and it takes a while to get used to your new skin, which is literally what it is as far as I'm concerned.
I was looking at a real estate deed just now and it said something about upon death rights to property being conveyed regardless of marital status or gender *including n e u t e r*. Oh my God! That's what I feel like now. A total n e u t e r ! DH says I'm still beautiful to him, but he has to say that!
We just have to take it one day at a time and live with what we are given.
All I can offer is a listening spirit and a !

Thank you
I am so glad there is someone else out there!! Thanks for the support.
I just cant quite figure it out, It is not a new incision, they used the same one from my Csection - but my tummy looks gross!!
I guess what I need to do is get out there and get some good old fashioned exercise - just wish someone could bottle and sell the motivation to do that - cause I certainly don't have any!!!
I know if I would just start doing it, for real, a good old fashioned hard workout, my spirits would lift, and my body would start to change and I would feel much better about it all - obviously knowing and doing are two different things.
Thanks again!!!

Dizzy-Naseau-feel crappy!! Plus unattractive!!
Well I'm 7 weeks today and I feel good except I have that strange spacey feeling in my head and no energy. Kinda feel like I don't really want to talk...can't really explain it but I started out on premarin 1.25 and after a month went to .625 and I'm not sure which one was working better. If only I could get my energy back I might try and figure out which one was better.

Dizzy-Naseau-feel crappy!! Plus unattractive!!
I am four weeks postop today, and my moods have never been lower. I have a belly that looks like bread dough where my monster uterus was taken out, I don't know whether to cry and scream. Everything is edging on me; the mortgage, my kids, the job I am supposed to be returning to. Then my husband tells me that, if I go back to work, to count on no help shuttling DD's back and forth from school, or with caring for them until I get off (five o'clock; school lets out at two). I'm ready to just pull my hair out and give out one good bellow to frighten the heighborhood dogs and any small children within a five mile radius. Maybe then I'll feel better. Don't like feeling bad about myself, but this is worse than anything I have ever felt. Sorry, I just had to vent for a minute!

Mine is more like feeling like my skin does not belong to me anymore - plus I just feel sick too - I hate this
The worst part is I really feel pretty good as far as incision/pain/surgery in general stuff, actually I have way way less pain then before surgery, wouldn't you think I'd feel great???? but NOOOOOOOOO -
What is going on w/ us - is this normal do you think, are we just still trying to deal w/ the whole missing body parts thing, Gosh I wonder if I will ever feel normal again - UUUUUGGGGGGG!!
Maybe if we all scream at the same time, it could be the hyster sister scream heard round the world!!!

I'm with you, RochelleL. My body has healed better than I ever could have asked the poor old broken down thing to do, but my yuckies are not at all a healing thing. My ovaries have stopped functioning, and my hormones are going haywire (my DH is the least of my worries, believe me!). I think even when your hormones don't cut off, though, that you're emotions go crazy because of the trauma your body has been through. I know it'll pass, because I'm too upbeat for it not to! Great idea about the scream, though! Just post beforehand, and I'm definitely there!

Same here
I am right by your side Rochelle, I am also 5 weeks post op.
Doctor took both ovaries alone with everything else.I am very confused and fearful I will not be the woman I was pre-op.
My advise to you and myself as we go through this together, is to focus on the positive. For me it is I am cancer free, my feelings are normal at this stage of recovery, I see the Dr. this week for my 6 week check up. I am free of the pain I had for so many years.
Rochelle.......This will pass and it is normal.
And...........I bet you are beauitful, I know you are, things will look up.
Feel free to contact me........take good care
Bobbie
