dVH/RALH: Rant! (children mention)

Danielatexas, what you are going through IS a big deal! We're losing a part of ourselves that we didn't sign up to lose. I doubt there is anyone here whoa envisioned losing their uterus, cervix, etc. I'm in the same darn boat myself..."Geez Lauri, my aunt so & so had a hysterctomy 20 years ago and she's was back out slopping the hogs and feeding the chickens the day she's came home." "You're being whiney. What's the big deal?" Etc, ad nauseum. I'm really sorry, but people need to get a clue. Your pregnant friend is being insensitive because she's wrapped up in, her own life right now, and that truly is a shame. Hang in there, and know your sisters here understand.

It is not selfish to not want to hear about everyone having babies when you are losing that possibility. There are other ways to have children, but it is still a loss that one must grieve when they have no choice. I have kids but I don't blame anyone for not wanting to hear about them all the time. Yes, your friend is going through an exciting time and wants to share her joy with you but without realizing it, she is rubbing it in your face. I think you should tell hr how you feel. While you are happy for her, it is painful for you. If she's a good friend then she'll understand.
