Excitement has turned into worries

Cherrykitty,

I had a TAH on August 12, I too was very worried. I've had 2 c sections which I was awake for and a D & C. But my doctor had already checked me out on my pre op consult and knew she couldn't do a vaginal. I also knew that if need be they were going to take the ovaries. Everything went well and they only took the uterus and cervix. This experience was by far the best one. I arrived at the castle at 6:00 am, surgery at 7:30. Doc came in and said they were early and ready for me. They gave me a warm blanket, the doc started the IV and told me she was giving me something to relax me. I woke up I was in my room and everything was done. Don't remember a thing. My DH and sons were there and laughing at me cause I had a morphine drip and was I guess kinda goofy from the meds.

I slept thru the night and woke refreshed the following day and wasn't really in pain, but more of an ache, little discomfort.

Good Luck with your surgery and recovery. Good luck to all of you on this thread that are having surgery in the near future.

God Bless
