Lower abdominal cramps after 7 months post op

Hi, I had a davinci total in oct 2012, for the last week I've had lower abdominal cramps and then a few days later after getting the cramps I became bloated and gassy, so thought maybe it was gas, but the bloating went away. I went to the gym Tuesday and used one of the pulley machines with very light weight on it and as soon as I pulled down I got a pain in my left side of lower abdomen, I stopped doing what I was but have had that pain ever since. It does come and go like the other cramps did but when it comes on it really has me doubled over. I already have lower back problems but this cramping seems to be making my back worse. When I say lower left I mean right around where your ovaries would be, but I had everything removed. I doubt I pulled anything at the gym cause the pain is the same as I had before I went only now it stays pretty on the left side. Anyone have an ideas or may have experienced the same thing? I wonder if it has anything to do with the new way the bowels settled in after surgery? Maybe there is a 'kink' in the bowel that sometime makes movement of the stool through that area more painful?

I've had various digestive issues over the years and bowel issues can double you over in pain. Maybe something to talk to your Dr or a gastro-enterologist about.

Thank you for the info tauruslady. I had no idea your bowels settled anywhere after surgery but where they are suppose to be. You may be right then about my pain, it has gone away but I'm going to keep an eye on it and if it happens again will go to my dr. I appreciate the information.

The normal size uterus is about the size of a pear. Of course that changes dramatically if you have large fibroids. So if that was part of your reason for surgery it could be the issue. Once an enlarged uterus is out of there things can change position.
