Re: 60 Years Old and losing it

QWOW! Thanks for all the comments, support and help! I will print this out and take it with me so I can read it and remember all the comments. I have full faith in God that He will not only be with me through this, but continue for life. I do feel it it a natural reaction to experience some fear over this operation. I am trying to accept it and not get so overly worried to the point its hard to function. I wanted to thank all of you for taking time to respond and offer the many suggestion here, Thank God for this support Group too.. I also hope and pray those who are also about to have a TAH and other operations will also make it through safely and recover fully.

Re: 60 Years Old and losing it

Sparkle, I'm so glad that you found this site, Like all of us, it's been a Godsend. I found it the day before my surgery last yr. So glad I did it's a wonderful sisterhood to be a part of

Surgery is scary, no matter what age, so your feelings are normal and understandable. The waiting is always the hardest. It gives our minds too much time to run rampant which is almost always worse than what is. Try not to worry about what ifs and things you have no control over. It will drain you. Don't let it. Trust that your doctors will do the job that they are trained to do and best of all trust that The Lord's got this and He has you.
Here are two things that may help you:

"Worry does not empty tomorrow of its sorrows. It empties today of its strength." ~ Corrie Ten Boom

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayerand supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus
Philippians 4:6,7

We are all here for you and will be cheering you on and praying for a good outcome.

I pray that you have a successful surgery and an even more successful recovery

Lots off ((HUGS)) to you
