had davinci surgery oct 6th home and in pain

Hello well I am new here. had complete hysterectomy with davinci robotic surgery. I already experienced hot flashes last night and night sweats is this normaL? had bm this morning first one and it hurt like hell!! OMG it was awful i wanted it to stop but it hurt so much i had to keep going. now i am scared to go again and this was with soft stool. taking stool softeners. anyone with this pain. any suggestions. anyone taking bioidentical hrt? I am 42 and unsure what to ask dr. for as he didnt put me on anthing. I also said I would go back to work in a week from tomorrow. does this seem possible>??? HELP??

How awful for you that you are in such pain. I had a lap. surgery on Oct. 1st, but I do not think it was the robotic. When I had trouble, my doctor said to drink Milk of Magnesia to help go to the bathroom. Plus I made little fiber bars for myself from Fiber One cereal and melted chocolate. It helped a lot

Well, I'm 62, well past menopause. I never had night sweats, etc... so I feel no difference. I, actually, feel remarkably well!

Jules, you are young... so this pushed you into menopause, ready or not. Your body has had quite a shock. Try making those little fiber bars... they taste great and work well!
