How long to expect bleeding/spotting?

I had TVH on 2/28 and everything has gone well. Just curious how long to expect bleeding/spotting? Thanks!

I had my tvh on 1/24 and I am still experiencing some occasional spotting (mostly pinkish). 3 weeks after my surgery (2/14) I had what I refer to as a "bleed out". I just felt a gush and it was bright red. I went to see my doctor the next day and she checked me and said what probably happened is that blood gets trapped inside and will work its way out (which is a good thing--otherwise infection can happen). Nine days later (2/23) it happened again. I haven't had anything since then but this morning when I wiped it was pinkish. I was told that this could happen anywhere from 6 to 8 weeks. As your stitches start to dissolve and the healing progresses you may notice some discharge. All I have ever had to wear was a panty shield. Nothing more than that. I will just be glad when I am completely done with even those. I go for my 6 week post-op on 3/5 and am anxious just to see how my healing is going. Hope this helps.

Some women will spot for several weeks, others will not spot at all. I only spotted 1 day and then had a yellowish discharge for about 5 days and that was it for me. Everyone is different in their recovery. Don't worry too much about it unless it turns bright red and there is alot of it.

I am still spotting a pinkish discharge daily....not that fun and quite unexpected but normal for me that is- doctor says everything is healing -just slower than I anticipated...
