New Worry, Should I be?

I am already so consumed with worry regarding the surgery, Now on top of that I started thinking ....'What If' they find something else while they are in there?
I have had an Endo biopsy, It was okay. I have had a uterine biopsy, it was okay. I had a pap and a biopsy on my cervix, it showed cervical dysplasia.
I am so out of touch with anything except negative thoughts.
Anyone else feel this way?

New Worry, Should I be?

Just wanted to let you know I had the exact same fears. I have had cervical dysplasia in the past also. Please know that your fears are normal. My surgery went great and I now feel really good, all except for the swelly belly thing. The busier I kept before surgery the better I dealt with it all. Try to keep busy and I will be wishing you a speedy recovery.

Hang in there

Cara, I just want to commiserate. I only have one more week to go, but the wait has been interminable. I just can't wait to get this over with. I was pretty freaked out at first, and then I kind of calmed down a bit, but it is pretty scary stuff. In my case, my doctor told me there is a 50-50 chance I have early stage cancer of the endometrium, but she said she doubts it would be anything other than early stage, so I can stop worrying about chemo and such. (Of course, I was worried about just that.)

I hope you have a good support network of friends and family and that you can find someone to talk to about your fears. I did make one trip to a social worker to talk about it, and I did find that helpful.

And keep busy and active. Exercise is a natural upper, and it really does help. Good luck!

New Worry, Should I be?

Hey LOL Bee! I noticed we are scheduled for the same date. 8 days to go! :hair:

I'm trying to stay busy but it's so hard. The has rolled into my brain and I am just so scatterbrained. I worry too about them finding something else while they are in there. It stinks to be going through this but it's nice to know that I am not alone. The funny thing is that I have been so worried about the after stuff that I am just recently starting to think about the during part. I'm trying not to worry too much but it's really hard not to think about it.
